Accordionist, guitarist, and player of pocket-sized instruments, Mary Beth Carty of Antigonish, Nova Scotia possesses a magical voice that has earned her multiple nominations at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, East Coast Music Awards, and Nova Scotia Music Awards. Carty’s latest album, Crossing the Causeway, fuses traditional song, instrumental tunes, & originals to create a multilingual opus that reflects the diverse yet unified roots of her region. She has performed in three continents, North America, Europe, and Africa.
